1973 Zenith Black and White

for my Pappy

The picture
would spin.

You could stop it
but, then

it would spin
again.

You could stop it
but, then

it would spin
again.

You could stop it
but, then

it would spin
again.

Didn’t bother us much
did it, though? When

I was very young
and you were very old.

The three of us made
such perfect friends.

You had an Emergency heart
and a Sanford grin.

I still await the weekends.
